What is the difference between tilt-and-turn and tilt-and-slide patio doors?
A tilt-and-turn door hangs on vertical hinges: turn the handle one way and the panel tilts at the top for ventilation, turn it the other and it swings fully open. A tilt-and-slide door also tilts for ventilation, but the panel then runs along a track instead of swinging, so it needs no clearance inside the room and suits wider openings.
